Girl in the Clouds

Lets see, I think I completed this on Valentine's day. So I've finally gotten back to doing digital art! I've actually had my tablet since summer, but I haven't been uploading very many drawings that I've done on it, mostly because I didn't like any of them... I have another drawing that I drew before this one that I'll probably upload later. 

I tried going line-less for this drawing to give it a more painterly feel. I've always liked the look of painterly digital drawings. Also I just sort of hate doing line arts. It's sort of time consuming to me, probably because of lack of experience. Also I usually don't like a solid line art because I feel restricted within the lines and I feel as if I shouldn't change details in my drawing once I'm done with the line art. 

I wouldn't say I'm totally in love with how this picture turned out, but I don't hate it unlike with some of my other digital drawings. I think I just need more practice. I think I'm improving though! I finally learned not to use full blown saturated colors so I think that made things look better. And I discovered that coloring clouds is actually really fun for some reason. I probably should render this some more before submitting it here, but I honestly don't feel like working on it any more. So I hope you like it
